Six Sentence Sunday #5: Abandon

Welcome to my new Six Sentence Sunday from my next release, The Almack’s Alternative. The AA is a collection of short erotic regency romance stories set in London during 1814. This excerpt is from the first short, Abandon. Enjoy!

As her carriage threaded its way through London’s quiet streets, Victoria gathered her courage. She could not abandon all hope of securing a match this season because she lacked ambition. What was the alternative? Left on the shelf to endure her mother’s night-time lectures on how to stay young and beautiful. She could be free of all that if she restored Alexander West.

She would be quite celebrated.
