Six Sunday #32 – Forsaking the Prize Part 2

It’s time once again for Six Sentence Sunday. Doesn’t the days pass quickly at this time of year. Last week, Tobias was settling into his new life at Romsey Abbey and his brother has caught a glimpse of the pain he’d suffered through. Enjoy!

Murphy snatched up the clothing and fled, leaving an uncomfortable silence in his wake. “What happened, Toby?”

Tobias glanced up at the intricately molded ceilings and sighed. It had been too much to hope for that Leopold would not ask. “I was unhappy. Dissenters are punished.”

I really appreciate everyone who reads and comments each week, and those visiting my blog for the very first time. You will find amazing authors participating in Six Sunday by visiting the host site, Six Sentence Sunday and by searching for #sixsunday via Twitter.

Awkward conversations are the worst but you capture the emotions so well. Excellent excerpt, can’t wait to read more.
